This track composed over the christmas-new year period of 2011-2012 captures with field recordings and composed synthesizer parts the feel of Southend-On-Sea out of season. Field recordings were taken between Two Tree Island and the Southend Pier. There is a narrative which takes the listener from the nature reserve of Two Tree Island, to walking along the Southend Pier, to the very end on a windy day then taking the train back to the shore (for those who dont know, Southend pier has a railway to take people along the 1 and 1/4 mile) and coming out through the arcades and along the seafront back to the nature reserve.
As the title implies, the latest from Lebanese artist Yara Asmar combines ambient synths with treated accordion in dreamlike songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 31, 2023
